Story behind the company
In business since 1993, A-1 Coatings Painting is fully insured and has become known throughout the Kansas City metro area as the go-to contractor for on-time, professional, high quality painting and contracting projects.
We believe in the golden rule of business: we treat our customers the way we want to be treated as clients. Respect for your home, your time and your budget are paramount and we are not pleased until each and every client is happy with the work we have completed.
We are not the cheapest contractor that you will find in the Kansas City area; we believe in using quality products that will last longer than “bargain” choices and we believe that quality work takes time and expertise. We use only high-quality professional products such as Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams and Glidden Paint.
Because we respect your home and your time, we use only the highest quality products in our work; we never expect our clients to settle for lesser quality than the products we use on our own home. While we understand that using top quality products might make our estimates more expensive at times than some of our competitors, we know from experience that high quality products combined with expert craftsmanship means a longer lasting finished product. That translates to not only money in your pocket but time saved from having to re-do work that failed the quality test.

For clients who experience difficulty breathing when traditional paints are used, or if you wish to ‘green’ your home with eco-friendly products, we offer no-VOC and low-VOC products for interior finishes. Clients who have opted for no-VOC and low-VOC interior finishes report being able to breathe freely during their project and enjoy their beautiful new interiors in a way not possible with traditional finishes.
